Four to six weeks ahead is comfortable for a Sacramento date, and two weeks is usually workable. Because the gear drives up from Fullerton instead of flying, what sets the timeline is the art, the blanks and the venue's calendar, not a freight booking.
Where the weeks go
- Convention weeks downtown: when SAFE Credit Union Convention Center has a big show in, hotel rooms and venue labor tighten at the same time. If your date sits in one of those weeks, book at the long end.
- Art and blanks: the design needs to be final about a week before the event, and the size order locks then too. A headcount that keeps moving slows a job more than anything on our side.
- The Capitol calendar: advocacy days and association summits cluster around the legislative session, so the same weeks get asked for by several groups at once.
- Outdoor season: farm-to-fork festivals and Cal Expo dates land in the warm months, and a canopy plan needs to be settled before the truck is packed.
Closer than two weeks? Ask anyway. A simple design on standard blanks is what makes a short run possible, and we'll confirm within 24 hours whether the crew and the stock can make it.
